India-Pakistan Tensions Escalate with Drone and Missile Exchanges
Tensions between India and Pakistan have increased after both countries exchanged drone and missile strikes. Pakistan claims to have shot down 25 drones from India in its airspace, while India says it “neutralised” Pakistan’s attempts to strike military targets.

Pakistan’s Military Response
Pakistan’s military spokesperson, Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, stated that the drones were Israeli-made and were shot down in multiple locations, including the cities of Karachi and Lahore. One drone hit a military target near Lahore, injuring four Pakistani army personnel.

India’s Defence Response
India’s defence ministry said that Pakistan attempted to engage military targets in northern and western India, but were “neutralised” by Indian air defence systems. In response, Indian forces targeted air defence radars and systems in Pakistan.

Escalating Violence in Kashmir
The conflict has also led to increased violence along the ceasefire line in Kashmir. Pakistan intensified its firing, resulting in the deaths of 16 people, including five children and three women, on the Indian side.

Ongoing Conflict
The tensions between India and Pakistan began after India accused Pakistan of involvement in an attack in Indian Kashmir that killed 26 people, mostly Hindu tourists. Pakistan denied the accusation and vowed to retaliate.

Conclusion
The situation between India and Pakistan remains tense, with both countries engaging in military actions against each other. The conflict highlights the ongoing challenges in the region and the need for diplomatic efforts to resolve the issues.
