In a recent update from Haryana, senior Congress leader Bhupinder Singh Hooda confidently stated that his party is set to form the government independently despite current election trends favoring the BJP. Speaking in Rohtak, the former Chief Minister believed the Congress would secure a majority.
Hooda clearly asserted that Congress would not need external support to form the government. He credited the leadership of Rahul Gandhi, Mallikarjun Kharge, and Priyanka Gandhi, among others, for their efforts. However, he emphasized that the credit belongs to Haryana’s people.
As per the latest information from the Election Commission, the BJP is leading with 49 seats, surpassing the majority threshold in the 90-member Assembly. Meanwhile, the Congress is ahead in 35 seats, with Independents, BSP, and INLD also making gains in the state elections.
