Former President Obama will speak at a rally at the University of Pittsburgh this Thursday to support Vice President Kamala Harris in the upcoming November 5 election.
Democrats are encouraging young people to vote, and Obama’s appearance is part of this effort. Since Joe Biden stepped down as the Democratic presidential candidate, Obama has backed Harris, who is now leading the Democratic ticket.
Obama remains a significant figure in the Democratic Party and plans to participate in more events in key states soon. Besides Obama, former President Bill Clinton will also campaign for Harris, visiting Georgia and North Carolina to connect with rural voters.
During the rally, Obama is expected to highlight the importance of Harris’s leadership alongside Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, her vice-presidential running mate.
He will also discuss the critical need to prevent Donald Trump from returning to office. With young voter registration down from previous years, Obama’s involvement is seen as crucial for energizing young voters as the election approaches.
