Vice President Kamala Harris has been facing a lot of interruptions by anti-Israel, pro-Palestinian protesters during her rallies this election season.
Despite her efforts to avoid upsetting these groups, the protests have become common. This past Wednesday, her campaign stops in North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin were disrupted. In Raleigh, North Carolina, a protester accused Harris of disrespecting the Palestinian community.
At another rally in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, some called her a “war criminal.” In Madison, Wisconsin, individuals holding a sign labelled her as “Killer Kamala” were removed from the event.
The selection of Minnesota Governor Tim Walz as her running mate over Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro, known for his pro-Israel stance, was seen as a strategy to lessen criticism.
However, groups like Code Pink continue to protest, demanding an end to U.S. arms support for Israel, especially as the election approaches.
