OFFICIAL DECLARATION

Eid-ul-Fitr Announcement

The Chicago Hilal Committee, after careful examination and verification, hereby declares that:

Shawwal 1st, 1446 (Eid-ul-Fitr) will be observed on Monday, March 31st, 2025.

This decision was made after the committee did not receive any positive sightings of the crescent moon from its reliable contacts and observers.

As a result, the month of Ramadan will complete its 30-day cycle, and the blessed day of Eid-ul-Fitr will be celebrated on Monday, March 31st.

The Chicago Hilal Committee extends its warmest wishes to all Muslims:

“Eid Mubarak!”

May Allah accept all of our acts of worship, fasting, charity, and good deeds during this blessed month of Ramadan. May He shower us with His mercy, forgiveness, and blessings.

We pray that this Eid-ul-Fitr brings joy, happiness, and unity to our communities and families. Ameen.
