Chicago – April 26, 2025

People had questioned why Modi had to deliver a speech in English after the incident in India, perhaps he had been addressing those who understood English. As far as the sovereignty of Pakistan was concerned, every citizen of Pakistan had been clear: they would not allow anyone to raise questions about Pakistan’s sovereignty, nor would they allow any country, including India, to attack or occupy Pakistan easily.

It was said that if they started responding to everything discussed there, the argument would reignite. On the 26th, the PTI members who were present had to be engaged to reach a conclusion. A question was raised about the day when the amendment to the law was presented and voting was taking place, where had the opposition leader been? The PTI members had alleged that those who were absent had sold themselves, naming three individuals. However, it was believed that not only they but others also had not shown up that day.

It was emphasized that such accusations should not be made, as everyone understood that those who lacked a consistent point of view often spoke in hypocrisy. Those who criticized their elders’ contributions were undermining the services being rendered.

It was also noted that if the Indus Water Treaty had been abandoned by the other side, then similarly, the Shimla Agreement should have been reconsidered from Pakistan’s side. However, actions needed to be balanced and coordinated, and amendments to the 1973 Constitution or the 18th Amendment should not be attacked simultaneously.

When it came to national interests, it was stated that they stood firmly for the country. Just as Pakistan loved the waters of its canals, they too cherished its natural resources. It was acknowledged that, just as the others were facing challenges, so were they, and both sides remained engaged in this struggle. Senator Aimal Wali Khan spoke at the 349th session of the Senate.
