Vice President Kamala Harris’s presidential campaign, which recently ended in a loss, is under the spotlight for spending a lot of money on private flights during the final stretch of the campaign season.
Official records reveal that the campaign, already deep in debt by $20 million, spent over $2.6 million on these flights just in October. The money was mainly paid to two companies, with Private Jet Services Group receiving $2.2 million and Advanced Aviation Team getting $430,000.
This spending is part of a larger trend, as the campaign spent a total of more than $10 million on private flights starting from July. The choice to use private jets has drawn criticism for being too expensive and harmful to the environment.
Private jets create more pollution per passenger compared to regular commercial planes. This is especially notable since Harris has spoken out about the dangers of climate change, calling it a serious threat to our planet. The campaign’s big spending and its aftermath are now being closely examined, especially considering the financial strain it’s caused.
