Chicago – December 16, 2025

Susie Wiles, President Donald Trump’s White House chief of staff, sharply criticized Attorney General Pam Bondi’s handling of Jeffrey Epstein documents while defending the administration’s aggressive agenda in a revealing Vanity Fair interview series published December 16, 2025. The first woman in the role, appointed after managing Trump’s victorious 2024 campaign, Wiles spoke candidly since just before his January 2025 inauguration.

Wiles faulted Bondi for “completely whiff[ing]” on Trump supporters’ interest, noting she provided “binders full of nothingness” and falsely claimed a non-existent client list sat on her desk. She described Trump as having “an alcoholic’s personality” yet channeled his energy effectively, achieving more in 11 months than others in eight years. Wiles also addressed military strikes on Venezuelan drug boats, insisting the administration knows its targets amid congressional scrutiny.

Post-publication, Wiles slammed the piece as a “disingenuously framed hit piece,” claiming omitted context portrayed chaos. Allies like Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt and VP JD Vance defended her loyalty and leadership. Trump praised Wiles for a “fantastic job” as backlash mounted.
