Ahead of this week’s first presidential debate, President Joe Biden’s reelection campaign has released a new TV ad targeting Donald Trump over the economy. The 30-second ad, airing in battleground states Georgia and Pennsylvania, portrays Biden as a defender of the middle class and Trump as someone “only out for himself.”
The ad’s narrator states, “Donald Trump loves to attack Joe Biden because he’s focused on revenge and has no plan to help the middle class. He’d just give more tax cuts to the wealthy.”
The ad highlights Biden’s efforts to make life more affordable, mentioning policies like capping insulin prices for seniors at $35, lowering healthcare costs, and pushing for higher taxes on corporations to ensure they “pay their fair share.”
“Here’s the difference: Donald Trump is only out for himself. Joe Biden is fighting for your family,” the ad concludes.
This ad comes just before Biden is set to debate Trump on Thursday in Atlanta, in an event hosted by CNN. Biden has been preparing for the debate with top White House aides at the Camp David presidential retreat in Maryland.
