During a recent episode of the “Politics War Room” podcast, Democratic strategist James Carville discussed why the Republican Party seems to show more support for Israel than the Palestinians. Carville, speaking with co-host Al Hunt, suggested that the reason behind the Republican Party’s strong backing for Israel is because they see its citizens as “whiter” compared to the Palestinians.
This conversation came about during a segment where they were answering audience questions. One question highlighted the irony of the Republican Party’s relationship with groups like the “alt-right” and “neo-Nazis,” while still claiming to be the most supportive of Israel. Carville responded by saying that he believes racial biases influence the party’s support for Israel.
He explained that the Republicans are more united in their support for Israel, and this might be tied to underlying racial preferences, as they perceive Israeli citizens as being closer to their racial identity than the Palestinians.
