The Haryana Congress has unveiled its manifesto for the upcoming state assembly elections on October 5. The manifesto promises several initiatives to improve the lives of various groups within the state.
One of the key features of the manifesto is the creation of a farmers’ welfare commission to support agricultural development. Additionally, families of soldiers who have died will receive ₹2 crore as a token of gratitude and support.
The manifesto also mentions the reformation of the minority commission to serve minority communities in Haryana better. Before this announcement, Congress had laid out seven major guarantees.
These include legal protection for the Minimum Support Price (MSP), conducting a caste-based survey, providing gas cylinders at a reduced price of ₹500, and a monthly assistance of ₹2,000 for women aged between 18 and 60.
Other guarantees include a ₹6,000 monthly pension for the elderly, disabled, and widows, creating two lakh permanent government jobs and 300 units of free electricity to help reduce living costs. A subsidy for diesel through a farmer diesel card will also be introduced to assist small farmers with their expenses.
