Voters in four states, including Minnesota, Wisconsin, Connecticut, and Vermont, went to the polls on Tuesday for important primary elections. One key race is in Minnesota, where Representative Ilhan Omar is running for reelection. Omar is part of the progressive “Squad” in the House, and her race is closely watched because two members of the Squad have already lost to more moderate candidates this year.
Besides Omar’s race, there are other significant contests. In Wisconsin, Democrats are choosing a candidate to run against Republican Representative Derrick Van Orden in the upcoming general election. Additionally, there’s a costly battle among Republicans in Wisconsin’s 8th District. These primaries are part of the bigger election season that’s starting to get really busy.
