Hyderabad Gears Up for a Grand Cultural Showcase at Miss World 2025

Hyderabad is getting ready to host a vibrant celebration of beauty, talent, and cultural heritage as the 72nd edition of the Miss World pageant kicks off on May 10 at the Gachibowli Indoor Stadium. The city is adding a strong local flavour to the global event, setting the stage for a month filled with diverse festivities.

To build excitement, the Telangana Tourism Department is offering limited seats for the opening ceremony through a quiz on its official website (www.tourism.telangana.gov.in), inviting participation from across India.

Currently, around 110 contestants are staying at the Trident Hotel, where preparations are in full swing. Special dietary menus have been crafted, and Telangana cuisine is featured regularly, offering a taste of what’s to come at the Gala Dinner and Telangana Food Festival on May 26.

According to Ashwani Shukla of Atlair Media, the official PR agency, the opening parade will feature contestants in traditional attire carrying their national flags, known as the Miss World Parade, followed by local cultural performances including classical dances like Perni, performed by students from various districts in Telangana.

A Celebration of Fashion, Heritage, and Global Talent

The pageant calendar includes key events such as the Talent Finale on May 22 at Shilpakala Vedika, showcasing music, dance, and other creative performances. This will be followed by the Head-to-Head Challenge Finale on May 23 at Trident, where contestants will discuss global topics.

Fashion takes the spotlight on May 23 and 24 with the Miss World Top Model and Fashion Final, followed by a Jewellery and Pearl Show. Telangana’s fashion designers will also be featured in a dedicated segment to highlight local craftsmanship and traditional aesthetics.

Beyond the glitz, contestants will explore Telangana through curated heritage tours starting May 12, visiting cultural and historical landmarks such as Charminar, Laad Bazaar, Chowmahalla Palace, Warangal Fort, Ramappa Temple, Yadadri temple, and Pochampally.

The grand finale, where Miss World 2025 will be crowned, is set for May 31 at Hitex. With dignitaries, celebrities, and international media in attendance, Hyderabad is ready to shine on the global stage and proudly showcase its cultural richness to the world.
