Chicago – July 24, 2025

Hulk Hogan, one of the most famous wrestlers of all time, has passed away at the age of 71. The Clearwater, Florida police and fire departments responded to a medical emergency early this morning, where Hogan was found to have suffered a cardiac arrest. He was taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Hogan, whose real name was Terry Bollea, became a superstar in professional wrestling, especially during the 1980s. He was the face of the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) and helped make wrestling incredibly popular worldwide. His time in wrestling was so famous that it was called “Hulkamania.”

Hogan also made appearances in movies, including the famous “Rocky III,” and used his fame to become a well-known figure in pop culture. The WWE praised Hogan as one of the most recognizable figures in entertainment history for helping the brand gain global recognition.

In recent years, Hogan became involved in politics, speaking at the 2024 Republican National Convention. He showed his support for Donald Trump by wearing a Trump-Vance shirt and shouting, “Let Trumpamania run wild, brother.”

Hogan’s life also became a media sensation in 2012 when a website called Gawker published part of a private video. Hogan sued Gawker and won a $140 million judgment, leading to the company’s bankruptcy.
