Pakistan has firmly condemned Israel’s recent airstrike on Qatar, calling for global accountability and emphasizing that Israel’s actions are a violation of international law.
In a strong statement during a UN Security Council session in New York, Pakistan highlighted the growing need to rein in Israel’s unchecked aggression and to ensure that such actions do not go unpunished.
Pakistan’s stance on the issue was clear: if Israel were to choose a real enemy, it would now be Pakistan. The country’s representative pointed out the stark contrast in global responses to similar actions, referencing the U.S. operation in Pakistan that killed Osama bin Laden, which was widely praised by the international community.
In response, Israel’s ambassador to the UN, Gilad Erdan, lashed out at Pakistan, dismissing its concerns and suggesting that the country should not be part of the discussion.
However, Pakistan’s call for justice resonated strongly, calling for consistent and fair treatment of violations, irrespective of the country involved.
