Chicago – December 26, 2025
White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt has announced she is expecting her second child, a baby girl due in May next year, sharing the news in a festive Instagram post.
Leavitt revealed the pregnancy with a photo of her baby bump beside a Christmas tree, writing that she and her husband are thrilled to grow their family and eager to see their young son become a big brother. She described motherhood as a profound blessing and said her heart is “overflowing with gratitude to God” for the experience.
In her announcement, the 28-year-old press secretary also thanked President Donald Trump and White House chief of staff Susie Wiles for fostering what she called a pro-family environment inside the administration. Leavitt and her husband, Nicholas Riccio, welcomed their first child, also named Nicholas, in July 2024, and she has spoken publicly about balancing the demands of motherhood with her high-profile role at the White House.
