Abhijeet Dipke, founder of the rapidly growing Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), arrived in New Delhi on Saturday to lead a major protest against Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government. The movement, which began as a satirical online campaign, has gained millions of followers by highlighting concerns over youth unemployment, examination irregularities, and economic challenges facing young Indians.
The demonstration at Jantar Mantar marks the group’s first large-scale street protest after weeks of online activism. Protesters are demanding the resignation of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over alleged lapses in major examinations, including NEET and other recruitment tests. Authorities deployed additional police personnel and erected barricades around the protest site to maintain order.
Dipke urged supporters to remain peaceful and follow democratic principles during the demonstration. The protest is being closely watched as a test of whether the movement’s massive online support can translate into real-world political influence.
