Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, one of Congress’ most high-profile progressives gave an interview to npr lately. She said she thinks Republicans have begun making mistakes, and her party is resolved to strike back. The New York lawmaker discusses Trump administration and the scams they are running that is ruining the working class.

According to her and many Americans, the Republican Party is making certain large errors like an $880 billion cut to Medicaid would affect many voters’ health care, and that the president’s bid to fire many federal workers will degrade critical services.

“Everything feels increasingly like a scam,” she said. “Not only are grocery prices going up, but it’s like everything has a fee and a surcharge. And I think that anger is put out at government.”

The Democrat asserts that in her view, government is working very well for the wealthy, while often failing ordinary people.
