Chicago – March 04, 2025

Iqra Choudhary is an Indian politician from the Samajwadi Party. She has been a member of Lok Sabha from the Kairana Lok Sabha constituency since 4 June 2024.

In the 2024 General Election, Iqra Chaudhary emerged victorious in Kairana, defeating Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate Pradeep Kumar by a significant margin of 69,116 votes.

Her win has sent shockwaves through the BJP, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath reportedly taking note of her rising influence.

Political analysts suggest that Chaudhary’s growing popularity could position her as a formidable contender for the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister’s seat in 2027. If she succeeds, it would mark one of the most significant electoral defeats for the BJP in the state’s history.
