he US economy is showing resilience despite concerns over global market volatility and geopolitical turbulence following President Donald Trump’s return to the White House. Economists believe that while a recession is possible in the long term, it’s unlikely to happen soon.

“I don’t think we will talk about a US recession,” said Holger Schmieding, chief economist at Berenberg Bank. “The US economy is resilient, largely despite Donald Trump.” Schmieding described Trump as an “agent of chaos and confusion,” criticizing his unpredictable approach to trade policies.

Despite these concerns, Schmieding pointed out that US consumers have money to spend, the labor market remains firm, and energy prices are decreasing. These factors, combined with potential tax cuts and deregulation, suggest that an imminent recession is unlikely.
