The Holy Qur’an highlights the inspiring story of Bibi Maryam (Mary), a figure of immense piety and devotion. Chosen by Allah, she devoted her life to prayer and goodness. Allah gifted her with blessings like fresh fruits out of season, showing that true provision comes from Him alone.
Her guardian, Prophet Zakariya (Zachariah), was amazed at her miracles, and her unwavering faith inspired him to ask Allah for a child. Allah answered his prayer with the gift of Prophet Yahya (John the Baptist), a wise and righteous son.
Maryam’s life took a miraculous turn when an angel told her she would give birth to a son, Isa al-Masih (Jesus). Alone, she endured labor pains under a palm tree, but Allah provided for her, creating a stream and making dates fall for her nourishment. Without a father, this miraculous birth was a sign of Allah’s power.
When she returned to her people, the newborn Isa miraculously spoke, declaring his servitude to Allah and his role as a Prophet. Isa grew up performing incredible miracles—healing the sick, bringing life to clay birds, and even raising the dead—always by Allah’s will.
Though some rejected him, Isa’s mission was clear: to guide people to truth and faith. Allah eventually raised Isa to the heavens, saving him from harm. Like Maryam and Zakariya, his story is a powerful reminder of Allah’s mercy and wisdom.
These stories, celebrated in Islam, teach us to trust Allah, strive for goodness, and stay steadfast in faith. Maryam, Zakariya, Yahya, and Isa are shining examples of righteousness and reliance on Allah, offering timeless lessons for us all.
