Chicago – April 26, 2025

At least 26 people had been murdered, and even then, honesty towards them had not been shown. In the name of their deaths, a wave of emotions was being stirred across the country, while dishonesty prevailed in the way news about them was being published. The facts shared by the government had been twisted, and various excuses had been made. We were going to discuss that as well, but before that, I had a question. Did you know that Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju had posted a video statement on Twitter? You would have been shocked to see the kind of manipulation that had taken place. In the politics of religion, the last rites of truth were being performed in such a way that even scholars who wrote books on religion would not have known about it.

It was important to mention that, until then, nothing had been officially conveyed to the nation, the government had not held a single press conference where questions could have been freely asked and answered. No question had received an official answer. Some might have said that an all-party meeting was held to reassure the country of confidence. But there was a deeper game behind it, too.

Had you ever wondered why the government had avoided holding a press conference? Because then they would have been forced to speak clearly. People would have witnessed firsthand what kinds of questions were being raised and how they were being answered. If a press conference had been held, serious questions would have been asked, how such a massive security lapse occurred, how thousands were allowed to gather in a terror-affected area without any preventive measures, and how no security was ensured even after the crowd had gathered. Then, the public would have clearly seen the lies told by the government and the shame in its eyes.

That was why an all-party meeting was arranged, so the public could not directly witness the government’s failure. Even after the meeting, the leaders had not disclosed everything. Bits and pieces of information had been gathered from different sources and published in the media, suggesting that the government had admitted to its mistake. That was why the all-party meeting had been called in the first place.
