Chicago community and faith leaders gathered this morning for the 40th Annual MLK Interfaith Breakfast, where Vice President Kamala Harris joined attendees to celebrate the enduring legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. The milestone event brought together a diverse coalition of civic, religious, and nonprofit leaders committed to advancing equity, service, and unity across the city.

During the program, community leaders were recognized with the Champion of Freedom Award, honoring individuals whose work reflects Dr. King’s principles of justice, compassion, and nonviolent leadership.
