Congress has released Jeffrey Epstein’s “birthday book,” a 238-page album compiled for his 50th birthday in 2003, which includes a controversial letter allegedly from former President Donald Trump. The book, obtained and made public Monday by the House Oversight Committee, features handwritten and typewritten notes from Epstein’s high-profile associates, including a provocative sketch and message bearing Trump’s name.
The alleged Trump letter contains a joking note written over the outline of a nude woman, ending with a signature that closely resembles Trump’s. Trump and the White House have firmly denied its authenticity, with legal representatives stating the president “did not draw this picture, and he did not sign it.” Trump has also launched a lawsuit against media outlets for reporting on the document.
Democrats say the book—subpoenaed from Epstein’s estate—adds transparency to ongoing investigations into Epstein’s network. Some details, especially the identities of women and minors, have been redacted by the committee prior to release.
