India Celebrates Navkar Mantra Diwas and Mahavir Janma Kalyanak in Washington D.C.
The Embassy of India in Washington, D.C., teamed up with the Jain International Trade Organization (JITO) to celebrate Navkar Mantra Diwas and Mahavir Janma Kalyanak on April 9, 2025. The event honored Jain values of peace, compassion, and unity, featuring a night of devotion, cultural performances, and reflections on Lord Mahavir’s teachings.

A Night of Spirituality and Unity
The program began with a beautiful devotional dance performance on the Navkar Mantra, setting a spiritual tone for the evening. Community leaders and Indian diaspora members gathered to celebrate Jain traditions and discuss their role in promoting global harmony. During the event, the Indian diaspora pledged to uphold nine resolutions proposed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
