President-elect Donald Trump attended the 125th Army-Navy football game on Saturday at Northwest Stadium in Landover, Maryland. The game was held less than 15 miles from the White House. Trump was joined by a high-profile group, including his vice president-elect JD Vance, Speaker of the House Mike Johnson, incoming Senate Majority Leader John Thune, and the world’s richest man, Elon Musk.
Also with him were Pete Hegseth, nominated for Secretary of Defense, former Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard, and Daniel Penny, who was recently cleared of charges in the death of Jordan Neely on the New York City subway.
During the national anthem, Trump stood and saluted, showing respect for the service members in attendance. This year’s game marked Trump’s first appearance since winning the 2016 election. He has attended every Army-Navy game during his presidency, including one at West Point in 2020. Army recently won the American Athletic Conference title with a victory over Tulane, bringing their season record to 11-1.
Despite this impressive achievement, the focus of Saturday’s game was on the intense rivalry between the two teams.
