Tight Security in Place for Trump’s Inauguration

Today, President-elect Donald Trump will be sworn in as the 47th President of the United States. To ensure a safe and secure event, thousands of law enforcement officials from federal, state, and local agencies are on high alert in Washington, D.C.

The inauguration will have an unprecedented level of security, with additional fencing and concrete barriers around the Capitol. The Federal Aviation Administration will also impose temporary flight restrictions, and the U.S. Coast Guard will enforce maritime restrictions.

Security Measures Include:

  • 7,800 National Guard troops deployed to support security efforts
  • 4,000 additional police officers from across the country volunteering to assist
  • Designated checkpoints for attendees to undergo screening
  • Temporary flight and maritime restrictions to prevent potential threats

Despite the heightened security, officials say there are no specific or credible threats to the event. However, they urge everyone to remain vigilant.
