Chicago – August 11, 2025

Mr Kamaluddin Saiyed held the wedding ceremony of his daughter Bride Afreen Saiyed with Groom Malek Shawabkeh, son of Mr and Mrs. Fahed Shawabkeh. The wedding reception took place at the Holiday Inn & Suites, Skokie, Chicago on August 10, 2025. 

Both the bride and groom have studied from University of Illinois, Chicago. 

The wedding was a grand affair with around 1000 guests. The festivities began with a Mayun, followed by Rasm e Hina and Nikkah ceremony. The extravagant Valima reception where guests were served with Middle Eastern food and Desi Indian food with drinks and desserts. 

The ladies and children performed traditional dances at the reception.
