The Muslims ruled parts of India for several centuries, starting with the arrival of Muslim armies in the early 8th century until the decline of the Mughal Empire in the 18th century. During this period, Muslim rulers made significant contributions to various aspects of Indian society.
Muslims made significant contributions in Literature, poetry, architecture, food, art, political systems and many other aspects. Muslim rulers lived in harmony with all religions for many centuries.
Overall, Muslim rule in India had a significant impact on the administrative framework of India, introducing new systems and ideas that continue to influence modern governance in the region.
The British significantly damaged the Indian subcontinent by exploiting its resources, de-industrializing the local economy through unfair trade practices, causing widespread famines due to poor governance, creating social divisions through policies like “divide and rule”, and extracting wealth from the region without reinvesting adequately in infrastructure or public welfare, leading to widespread poverty and suffering among the Indian population.
The current Indian government is a Hindu Nationalist one where not only the Muslims but the Sikhs, Christians and even Hindus are in danger as well. They are aiming to remove every other religion from India except the hindus which will not only damage the economy but also destroy the rich heritage of traditions that they bring.
Muslim rulers only contributed positively to the economy and infrastructure of the subcontinent while the British impacted India negatively leaving the country poor.
So, we can say that Muslim rulers were better for India than the British or even Hindu rulers.
