A new poll shows Vice President Kamala Harris leading former President Donald Trump in three key swing states. The New York Times/Siena College survey, conducted from Aug. 5 to Aug. 9, reveals that if the election were held today, 50% of Michigan, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania voters would choose Harris, while 46% would back Trump.
This boost for Harris follows a solid start to her campaign after President Joe Biden dropped out last month. Harris has raised over $300 million, and her rallies have drawn crowds of over 10,000. She and her new running mate, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, recently campaigned across several battleground states, including Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Michigan, and Arizona.
The poll surveyed 1,973 registered voters with a margin of error of 2.6 percentage points.
