Vice President Harris’ presidential campaign has amassed nearly $50 million in grassroots donations following President Biden’s decision to withdraw from the 2024 race and endorse her, as reported by Fox News Digital.
“Since President Biden endorsed Vice President Harris yesterday, everyday Americans have contributed $49.6 million to her campaign,” the Harris campaign stated to Fox News Digital. This amount includes donations through various channels, including ActBlue.
Harris announced her presidential bid on Sunday afternoon, shortly after Biden revealed he would not seek re-election. This endorsement from Biden may discourage other Democrats from running, potentially paving the way for Harris to become the party’s nominee.
Harris has already secured endorsements from over half a dozen governors, such as California Governor Gavin Newsom and New York Governor Kathy Hochul. Additionally, she has the backing of more than 178 Democratic lawmakers in the House and Senate.
