Chicago – August 12, 2025

Taylor Swift has officially revealed the title of her 12th studio album, The Life of a Showgirl. The announcement came early Tuesday morning, shortly after a countdown on her website reached zero. While the release date remains unconfirmed, her site noted that vinyl editions of the album will ship before October 13.

The news follows months of speculation among Swift’s fanbase about the upcoming album. On Monday, Taylor Nation, Swift’s official marketing team, posted a TikTok slideshow of 12 images, all featuring Swift in orange attire, with the caption, “Thinking about when she said ‘See you next era…’”

Additionally, a limited-edition vinyl of the album, described as “Portofino orange glitter,” is available for preorder, along with a special cassette edition.

Eagle-eyed fans noticed an intriguing detail: just 12 minutes before Taylor Nation’s post, the New Heights podcast, hosted by Swift’s boyfriend and Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and his brother, former Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce, shared a teaser with an orange image and a mysterious silhouette. Many fans speculated that the silhouette was Swift herself.

Later, the podcast confirmed that Swift would appear on an upcoming episode, with a teaser video showing her pulling the album from a briefcase. The album artwork, which was blurred in the teaser, mirrors the image on her website.
