Chicago – June 14, 2025

The U.S. Army is celebrating its 250th anniversary with a huge military parade in Washington, D.C., on Saturday. Thousands of service members will take part in the event, and it is expected to attract hundreds of thousands of people to the National Mall. The parade is also being held on June 14, which is the 79th birthday of President Trump.

This will be the first full-scale military parade in Washington in 34 years. The last one was held to welcome home veterans from the Persian Gulf War in 1991. Parades like this are rare during peaceful times, and some people are concerned that it could make the military seem too political.

The anniversary celebrations have been planned for over a year, but the parade was only added recently. This last-minute decision has significantly increased the cost of the event, and planners are working hard to get everything ready in time.
