Chicago – September 16, 2025

The 77th Primetime Emmy Awards delivered historic wins, emotional speeches, and a night dominated by two shows—Apple TV+’s The Studio and Netflix’s Adolescence.

Comedy Takes Center Stage

The Studio emerged as the night’s biggest winner, breaking records with 13 total awards. The comedy series, led by Seth Rogen, claimed the Outstanding Comedy Series prize. Rogen himself won Lead Actor in a Comedy Series, marking a career milestone. Jean Smart of Hacks took home Lead Actress in a Comedy Series, while her co-star Hannah Einbinder earned Supporting Actress. Jeff Hiller won Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series for Somebody Somewhere.

Drama Honors

The gritty series The Pitt claimed Outstanding Drama Series. Its lead, Noah Wyle, won Lead Actor in a Drama Series, with Katherine LaNasa picking up Supporting Actress. Severance also had a strong showing: Britt Lower earned Lead Actress in a Drama Series, and Tramell Tillman won Supporting Actor.

Limited Series Triumphs

Netflix’s Adolescence dominated the limited series category, securing Outstanding Limited or Anthology Series. Stephen Graham was awarded Lead Actor, while Erin Doherty won Supporting Actress. In a history-making moment, 15-year-old Owen Cooper became the youngest-ever male Emmy winner, taking Supporting Actor in a Limited Series. Cristin Milioti, starring in The Penguin, earned Lead Actress in a Limited Series.

A Historic Night

From Rogen’s comedic triumph to Cooper’s groundbreaking achievement, the 2025 Emmy Awards celebrated both established stars and rising talent. With The Studio setting records and Adolescence redefining the limited series category, the night highlighted television’s ability to blend fresh voices with powerhouse performances.
