In a significant step toward strengthening agricultural innovation in the state, Agriculture University Rajendranagar has announced the appointment of Dr. Farzana Jabeen Majaz as the new Head of the Department of Research & Development (R&D).

Dr. Majaz, a distinguished agricultural scientist with extensive experience in crop genetics, sustainable farming practices, and translational research, brings more than two decades of expertise to her new role. Her appointment is expected to accelerate ongoing research initiatives and introduce new programmes aimed at improving agricultural productivity and resilience across Telangana.

Dr. Majaz has contributed significantly to agricultural science through her research in:

  • plant breeding and genetics,
  • climate-adaptive crop varieties,
  • yield-enhancement technologies, and
  • sustainable cultivation models.

Her scholarly work, published in reputed national and international journals, has been widely recognized by agricultural researchers and institutions.
