A 39-year-old Muslim vendor, Mohd Yusuf, was beaten to death by two Hindus in Bulandshahr’s Bhimpur village amid a sales dispute on December 7, 2025. The itinerant seller of artificial jewelry and cloth, who supported his wife Shakeela and six children from Chhatari’s Nagla Banjara Mohalla, died the next day at Aligarh Medical College.
Police arrested Rajinder Verma from Chauganpur and Bharat Singh from Bhimpur—both Hindus—for the brutal assault, charging them under BNS sections for culpable homicide not amounting to murder and criminal intimidation. Shakeela’s FIR named additional assailants; three probe teams pursue them as investigations continue.
A viral video captured Yusuf writhing in pain, his lower body bruised blue from the beating. As the family’s sole breadwinner, his death leaves them destitute, fueling outrage over violence against vendors. Dibai CO Prakhar Pandey confirmed the arrests
