Chicago – March 15, 2026

The United Arab Emirates has stated that it will not allow its territory, airspace, or territorial waters to be used for military attacks against Iran during the ongoing regional conflict. Emirati officials emphasized that the country will also not provide logistical support for any hostile military operations targeting Tehran.

In an official statement, representatives of the UAE government reaffirmed their commitment to neutrality and regional stability, calling for dialogue and de-escalation instead of military confrontation. The decision comes despite the presence of U.S. military personnel and facilities in the country, including the Al Dhafra Air Base.

Officials stressed that diplomatic solutions and respect for international law remain the best path to resolve the crisis.

The move reflects growing concern among Gulf states about being drawn into the conflict between Iran and the United States.
