Chicago – April 29, 2026

A special religious gathering took place in Hyderabad under the banner of the Kul Hind Markazi Majlis Chishtia. The event, described as a “Taqreeb-e-Tahniyat,” honored Muhammad Azharuddin Sahab Chishti Abul Ulai on the occasion of his appointment as Federal Minister of Religious Affairs. Mr. Hannan Quraishi a realtor from Chicago performed the garlanding ceremony.

The ceremony was presided over by Sufi Shah Muhammad Muzaffar Ali Chishti Abul Ulai, a respected spiritual figure. Organizers expect participation from scholars, followers, and community members to celebrate the occasion.

The event took place on April 28, 2026, after Maghrib prayers, at the Pathargathi Dargah Markazi Astana Abul Ulai. The gathering aimed to offer prayers, express goodwill, and strengthen spiritual and community ties. Mr. Muzaffer Ali Sofi & MLA Zulfiqar Ali Khan were also present at the garlanding ceremony of Azher uddin.

There were around a 200 guests at the event.
