The Trump administration has unveiled a limited-edition U.S. passport design featuring President Donald Trump’s image, marking the nation’s 250th anniversary of independence.
Dubbed the “Patriot Passport,” the commemorative document showcases a photograph of President Trump seated at the Resolute Desk with the Declaration of Independence visible in the background and his gold signature at the bottom. The White House formally branded and promoted the design on its official X account.
According to the U.S. State Department, the passports will be released on July 6 and remain available only while supplies last. The design incorporates elements of the Declaration of Independence and the American flag alongside Trump’s likeness — making it a distinctly symbolic collector’s document.
Access is strictly limited to U.S. citizens who schedule an in-person appointment at the Washington Passport Agency, as online and mail-in applications are not accepted.
Notably, this marks the first time in history that a living, sitting U.S. president has appeared on a passport. The passports are part of broader America250 commemorations that also include a special $250 bill and national celebratory events.
