Nawab Dr. Mir Akbar Ali Khan Saheb, a respected community leader and social figure, passed away on July 13, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of service, leadership, and dedication to public welfare.
He was the son of the late Nawab Mir Ahmed Ali Khan, former Home Minister of Andhra Pradesh, and continued his family’s tradition of civic responsibility through active involvement in several key institutions. Dr. Khan served as Chairman of the Indo Arab League, promoting cultural and international engagement. He was also Mutawalli of Wajid Mansion, Moghalpura (family trust), and Masjid-e-Qairul Anam, and Honorary Treasurer of the Sultan-ul-Uloom Education Society.
His contributions to educational, religious, and social causes earned him deep respect within the community. He is survived by his three daughters, who reside in the United States.
Namaz-e-Janaza will be held at Shahi Masjid, Public Gardens, Nampally, after Zuhr prayers at 1:30 PM. Burial will follow at Qamraqi Gumbad, Jiyaguda, near Subzi Mandi.
May Almighty Allah grant him the highest place in Jannat and eternal peace. Ameen.
