Chicago – March 02, 2026

Iran will not negotiate with the U.S., the secretary of the country’s Supreme National Security Council said.

“We will not negotiate with the United States,” Ali Larijani said in a post on X.

Larijani’s comment was made in apparent response to prior Wall Street Journal reporting, citing Arab and U.S. officials, that he had made a push through mediators to resume nuclear talks with the U.S.

Trump earlier told the News that Iranian officials were interested in continuing talks with the U.S.
