Chicago – April 03, 2026

In an open letter released on April 2, Iran’s president directly addressed the people of the United States, calling for an end to escalating hostilities and urging public pressure against war. He stressed that ordinary Americans and Iranians share common interests—peace, stability, and economic well-being—while political decisions drive unnecessary conflict.

The message criticized sanctions and military threats, arguing they disproportionately harm civilians rather than governments. It also framed Iran’s actions as defensive, rooted in sovereignty and national security concerns.

Appealing for understanding, the president encouraged Americans to question narratives that justify confrontation and to support diplomacy instead. He concluded by expressing hope that dialogue and mutual respect could replace decades of mistrust and prevent further escalation between the two nations.
