A devastating Israeli air strike hit a humanitarian safe zone in southern Gaza, killing at least 11 Palestinians, including three children and two women. The attack occurred in the al-Mawasi area, which Israel’s military had declared a “safe zone” earlier in the conflict.

Local medics and news organizations reported that 15 people were also wounded in the attack, with many more feared trapped under the rubble. The area, home to makeshift tents housing displaced people, was left in ruins, with burning tents, scattered debris, and washing lines destroyed.

This latest attack adds to the growing death toll in Gaza, with at least 45,553 Palestinians killed in Israeli attacks since October 7, 2023. The Israeli military has not commented on the attack, which is part of a broader pattern of targeting humanitarian areas in Gaza.
