Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President Donald Trump are set to meet in the coming days. This announcement comes after Trump’s envoy, Steve Witkoff, held talks with Putin to find a solution to the ongoing Ukraine war.

According to Kremlin aide Yuri Ushakov, the meeting was suggested by the American side, and preparations are already underway. Although the venue has been agreed upon, it will be announced later. Interestingly, Putin was scheduled to meet the president of the United Arab Emirates, which has been suggested as a possible venue for the summit.

The news of the upcoming meeting has had a significant impact on the Russian stock market, with the MOEX index rising over 5% to its highest level in two months. The Russian rouble also hit a two-week high against the US dollar and China’s yuan.
