Budgam, Jammu and Kashmir — Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Kumar Choudhary on Thursday criticized the previous PDP-BJP governments for neglecting key infrastructure projects in Jammu Kashmir and misleading the public over the past decade. Addressing a gathering in Budgam, Choudhary accused both parties of failing to widen major roads and complete vital works during their 11 years in power.

He asserted that before 2014, major road projects were undertaken by the National Conference (NC), and if any widening or new development takes place now, it will be the NC that accomplishes it. Highlighting the government’s commitment to addressing unfinished roads, schools, hospitals, and bridges, Choudhary said the NC will fulfill every promise made to the people, particularly the youth struggling with unemployment.

He alleged that the PDP and BJP are jointly running campaigns to mislead citizens through false claims about reservations and electricity rate hikes. Urging the public to stay vigilant, he said the NC remains dedicated to restoring development, transparency, and unity across Jammu and Kashmir.
