Shahid Usmani, husband of senior journalist Fauzia Shahid, has passed away after a prolonged illness, prompting a wave of condolences from Pakistan and abroad. The news has saddened colleagues, friends, and well-wishers, many of whom remembered him with prayers and heartfelt messages.

In Pakistan’s media and political circles, figures expressed deep grief over the loss, while messages of sympathy also began pouring in from the wider journalistic community. According to Radio Pakistan, Information Minister Attaullah Tarar expressed grief over the passing of Comrade Shahid Usmani, while Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq also conveyed sympathy to the bereaved family.

His funeral prayer was held on Wednesday, July 8, after Asr prayers in Media Town, Block A, where family members and acquaintances gathered to pay their final respects. Across social media, condolence messages continued to spread, with many offering prayers for the departed soul and strength for the grieving family.
