Authorities in the United Kingdom are reportedly investigating claims of a growing marriage‑fraud network linked to a small region in Punjab, Pakistan. According to reports, a group is allegedly training young women to deceive wealthy British men through orchestrated marriages.

After marrying these men and relocating to the UK, the women allegedly accuse their husbands of abuse, triggering legal action and protective custody. Fearing lengthy trials, high costs, and public embarrassment, several victims reportedly settle the cases privately, paying large sums—sometimes in the hundreds of thousands of pounds.

Sources claim that these women then obtain fast‑tracked UK nationality on the grounds of being victims of mistreatment. Once financially secure, some are said to invite partners from Pakistan to join them, continuing a life of luxury. UK authorities are now under pressure to tighten visa and marriage verification procedures to curb such exploitation.
