Dolly Parton, known for her angelic voice, released her first gospel album in 1971, featuring songs like “I Believe,” “Lord Hold My Hand,” and “Golden Streets of Glory.” The singer says her strong faith, which inspired those songs, has helped her cope with the loss of her husband, Carl Dean, who passed away in March at the age of 82.

Parton shared, “I truly believe that I’ll see him again one day. I keep him alive in my memories and in my heart. We built so much together, and I’ll always carry that with me.” She admitted that moving forward with new plans after his death has been the hardest part.

The 79-year-old country music legend recently reflected on nearly 60 years of marriage while promoting her new single-serve Southern-inspired frozen meals, which she created in partnership with Conagra Brands, following the success of her Duncan Hines baking mixes. Dean, who kept a low profile and inspired songs like “Jolene” and “Rockstar,” was a big part of her life and career. Parton also discussed her views on life after her husband’s passing, her business ventures, and why she has never called herself a “superstar.”
