Chicago – March 21, 2025

Last month, U.S. President Donald Trump and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi held an important meeting, where several key issues were discussed. One of the biggest topics was defense, particularly the sale of F-35 jets to India, which marked a significant highlight in their discussions. Additionally, the two leaders agreed to work towards a $500 billion bilateral trade deal by 2030.

President Trump also made an important announcement regarding Tahawwur Rana, who is wanted by Indian authorities for his involvement in the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks. Trump confirmed that his administration has approved Rana’s extradition to India to face justice.

Another key issue discussed was the problem of illegal Indian immigrants in the United States. President Trump instructed Prime Minister Modi to take action and bring them back to India.

Modi also wanted to discuss issues related to Bangladesh but was told by Trump that the matter would be handled between India and Bangladesh, without U.S. involvement.

Finally, Trump advised Modi to follow up on these important matters as soon as possible, emphasizing the need for swift action on defense, trade, and immigration.
