Chicago – April 11, 2026

Former Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has delivered a sharp rebuke to the United States, declaring that global powers will no longer accept American domination. In his latest remarks, Ahmadinejad stated that “the world no longer accepts that a single nation dictates the fate of all others from across the ocean,” calling the U.S.-led system of dollar hegemony and military pressure “exhausted.”

He warned that Washington must “learn the word respect” if it wishes to avoid its own decline, emphasizing Iran’s long-standing cultural and civilizational depth. “We are not a colony—we are a civilization thousands of years old,” Ahmadinejad asserted, adding that every attack against Iranian soil “only accelerates the end of their influence on this side of the world.”

The statement reflects Tehran’s enduring defiance amid rising U.S.-Iran tensions and ongoing debates about the shifting balance of power in the Middle East.
